Because using AI does not erase your personal contribution. Free for personal use.
Accessible to everyone. From the start of 2026, AI Usage Classifications are available free to individuals.
The AI Usage Classifications were created to encourage responsible use of AI and to reduce unfair judgement by giving everyone a simple, transparent way to show how AI has been used in their work.
AI is now everywhere — across social media, workplace deliverables, and student submissions. Sometimes it is used to produce low-effort content. For many people, however, AI is a practical tool that helps them express ideas more clearly, improve quality, or participate in conversations they might otherwise be excluded from.
That is why AI Usage Classifications are available free to individuals. This change is about access — access to clear language that recognises your effort and distinguishes between fully AI-generated content and genuine human–AI collaboration.

Whether submitting an assignment or academic work, classification helps you be transparent about your process while demonstrating the genuine thinking and effort you brought.
Posting images, writing, or designs? Classification reduces assumptions, protects your credibility, and makes your creative contribution visible to your audience.
Sharing informed opinions, reports, or analyses? Classification helps audiences engage with your content appropriately — neither over-trusting nor under-trusting AI-assisted work.
